Job Description:

1) Possess degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering;

2) Minimum 6 years of experience in Pre-tender;

3) Good knowledge of reading tender specification and drawings;

4) Quantity take-off from Tender drawings, prepare bill of quantities based on the quantity take-off;

5) Familiar with facade system;

6) At least 6 year’s experiance in pre-tender, QS experiance in Alum Facade, windows and doors;

7) Sourcing of quotation from supplier and issuing work orders;

8) Liasing with design team and engineering team for specific tender requirement;

9) Liasing with project team and accounts department;

10) Any other Qs related function as and when required by the Estimation Manager and/or the management;

11) Able to work under pressure and tight deadline;

12) Passes good negotiation and co-ordination skills;

13) Good communication in English;

14) Software knowledge Microsoft Excel and Word;

15) AutoCAD rivet and Blue Beam in additional advantage

Job Description:

• Understand and implement Company QA/QC Policy and Procedures on assigned Projects.
• Ensure the requirements of Project Quality Plan/Manual is implemented and adhered to the assigned Projects.
• Ensure assigned Projects meet Quality requirements as set out in the design drawings and Contract documentation.
• Liaise with Clients’ and Sub-Contractors’ Quality representatives.
• Monitoring implemented Quality system through periodic audits.
• Carry out regular internal and external audits and prepare reports of findings.
• Participate in audits by Clients’ team of the Company’s systems implemented on assigned Projects.
• Make recommendations to Project team regarding improvements on Quality.
• Training employees on Quality Assurance and Quality Control compliance requirements.
• Assist Project and QA Manager in inspection and testing as necessary.
• Liaise with Independent Inspection and Testing Agency in respect of factory and Site inspections to be in line with Project Specification requirements.
• Physical checks and audits of pre-assembly works and fabricated items prior to be delivered to site for installation.
• Co-ordinate in process and post process inspections of all steel works and façade elements from Sub-contractors in accordance with Project Quality and Site delivery requirements.
• Inspect Sub-Contractors’ factories to ensure Project QA/QC requirements have been implemented & followed
• Issuance and monitoring of NCRs towards closure in line with Contract requirements.
• Checking that all non-conforming materials, components and equipment are promptly identified and segregated pending their final disposition.
• Coordinate with the managers and supervisors of the projects.
• Responsible for closure of Non-conformance reports and Site Instruction.

Requirements:

• A recognised Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Fluent in oral and written communication in English
• Computer knowledge – Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• At least 5 years of experience in the Construction/Facade Industry in similar capacity

Qualifications:

• Work experience in related fields preferably in Facade: minimum 2 years BIM specialist and 3 years in Revit model.
• High level proficiency in Autodesk Revit Architectural and skilled in AutoCAD 2D & 3D.

Responsibilities:

• Use information received from various formats (Sketches, BIM Execution Plans, architectural drawings, AutoCAD drawings, PDFs etc.) to develop design packages.
• Understand and operate according to project scope, specifications and design criteria within a project task team.
• Understand and manage drawing workflow between engineering disciplines.
• Develop model families (primarily Revit families) for general and project-specific needs.
• Collaborate with other designers, engineers, architects and clients to convert information into layout designs and drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
• Create 3D model of systems to support design initiatives by working with a technical & design team
• Participate in design coordination and clash detection correction sessions working with other contractors and architects.
• Work with other modelers, CAD specialists and designers to build/manage model databases, templates and standard procedures.
• Offer mentorship and guiding the technical & design team to improve software knowledge on 3D shop drawings process from Revit Model.
• Investigate software tools to support engineering or downstream project management.
