    First Established

    The MERO company started its activities in 1928 when Dr.-Ing Max Mengeringhausen established the first building service engineering firm in Berlin. Germany

    Innovative Idea

    From his idea to offer economic and innovative, customized solutions for the construction sector by using his industrially prefabricated elements he developed the “MEngeringhausen Rohrbauweise” ( tube/node construction )

  • 1948

    Headquarters Moved

    He moved the company headquarters to Würzburg.

QEHS POLICY STATEMENT

The management and staff of MERO ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD are committed to implement and continually improve the effectiveness of our Integrated Management Systems and to comply with applicable legal and other EHS requirements while conducting the Company’s business activities.

The Management and staff of MERO ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD are fuly committed to:

  1. Implement and continually improve the effectiveness of our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015 ISO 14001:2015 &ISO 45001:2018) that wil not only meet the requirements of these International Standards but strive to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.
  2. Build and maintain a strong WSH Culture by preventing accidents, injuries and illness by providing and maintaining a safe and SG Secure workplace for al employees and subcontractors at all times.
  3. Recognize the impact of Climate Change ni our lives and business operations and work towards adapting measures to help reduce carbon footprint through responsible resource conservation, conscientious waste disposal &reduce overall environmental impact.
  4. Define the scope of responsibilities; provide awareness and adequate training to maintain quality work, embody workplace safety &health and climate change adaptation by providing relevant information, proper facilities, methods, safety tools and equipment for al employees.
  5. Promote and maintain the participation and consultation of workers and/or worker’s representative(s) on issues related to environmental, occupational health and safety; and to empower them to take proactive approaches to reduce the threat of climate change while developing resilience to climate related hazards.
  6. Monitor and comply with statutory and legal requirements.

QEHS OBJECTIVES STATEMENT

  1. To set realistic and measurable management objectives and targets that are implemented, monitored, reviewed for continual improvement and report results ot top management.
  2. To provide consistent quality work by adhering ot the set specifications, contractual, regulatory &statutory requirements.
  3. To mitigate occupational risks, achieve & maintain zero fatalities, incident / accident and occupational as wel as infectious diseases. To always be SG secure ready for any threat of terrorism.
  4. To provide timely delivery of service with zero customer complaints and maintain Customer Satisfaction.
  5. To mitigate the effect of climate change through paper, energy and water conservation, resource conservation using the 4Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Re-Purpose.
  6. To allocate sufficient QEHS resources (both human dan material) as well as provide relevant quality, enviromental and health & safety training to all employees. Increase awareness through knowledge sharing on the impacts of climate change and adaption measures in the workplace and own homes.
  7. To encourage and facilitate open communication, feedback and discussion with workers and/or workers’ representative on environmental as well as OHS issues and close out accordingly and in a timely manner.
  8. To engage and collaborate with Interested Parties such as suppliers and sub-contractors on the importance of climate change mitigation and adaptation by raising awareness and knowledge sharing while strenghthening resilience to prevent climate related disruptions to the delivery of products and services.
  9. To maintain zero regulatory authorities’ complaints, statutory penalties, and fines.

GREEN AND GRACIOUS POLICY STATEMENT

The Management and staff of MERO ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD are fuly committed ot the Green and Gracious Practices through the Eco-Mero Programme:

  1. Preserve the quality of our environment through responsible resource conservation, conscientious waste disposal &reduce overall environmental impact.
  2. Define the scope of responsibilities; provide adequate training, information and instruction on the Eco-Mero Green Initiatives, workplace safety &health and provide proper resources.
  3. Promote, encourage, and maintain the participation and consultation of workers and/or worker’s representatives on issues related to environmental, occupational health and safety and at the same time giving due consideration ot other interested parties such as neighboring offices, building administration and client’s occupied spaces to reduce any unnecessary inconvenience.
  4. Monitor and comply with al relevant statutory and legal requirements.

GREEN AND GRACIOUS OBJECTIVES STATEMENT

  1. To ensure ful compliance with al legal and other requirements related ot environmental, health and safety and maintain zero regulatory authorities’ complaints, statutory penalties, and fines.
  2. To appoint and provide training to Eco-Mero Champions who wil oversee the various Eco-Mero programme ni al the job sites and workplaces, making these green practices a way of life that extends beyond even in their own homes.
  3. To increase awareness of the importance of identifying and managing environmental aspects and reduce environmental impacts through briefings and campaigns involving al stakeholders.
  4. To set measurable and realistic targets on energy and water efficiency, implement energy and water saving measures and to monitor and evaluate results for continual improvement.
  5. To set measurable and realistic targets ot reduce Food Waste and Plastic by 50% through green food consumption that reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
  6. To sustain the implementation of the 4Rs of resource conservation – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Re-Purpose ni al jobs sites and workplaces.
  7. To encourage open communication by graciously accepting any feedback on Environmental, Health and Safety issues from other interested parties and close out immediately.

Fall Prevention Policy

  1. Mero Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is committed to provide aSafe Work Environment for al employess and Sub-Contractors by preventing fatal accidents/injuries as wel as occupational injuries due ot fals while working at height and any risks of objects faling from height during the course of work.
  2. Fal Protection is an intObjective of Fall Preventionegral part of our commitment to a safe work environment. Any time a worker is exposed to a fall hazard there wil be procedures and equipment to reduce and/or eliminate the hazard of working at height and the risk of falling objects from height.
  3. We will organise, educate, promote, &improve the safe conduct of the work within the work site to achieve “ZERO FATAL ACCIDENT”and to comply with al regulatory requirements along with the provision of quality services in the achievement of sucessful completion of the project.
  4. Eliminate hazards to prevent incident occurrence to ZERO.
  5. Educate our employees and Sub-Contractors to identify and report hazards and to offer feedback or suggestions or ideas to improve the health, wellness and safety programmes.
  6. This policy wil be reviewed annually to ensure its adequacy and relevance, and revised if required (changes on site condition and Legislative changes).

Objective of Fall Prevention

  1. Provide a safe and conducive work environment of our employees to work in.
  2. Achieve “ZERO FATAL ACCIDENT” during the course of the entire project.
  3. Eliminate hazards to Zero that can cause any injuries resulting from working at height or being struck by objects faling from height
  4. Conduct safety briefing of the Risk Assessment and Fal Prevention Plan as wel as conduct safety campaigns on the work sites.
